The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is currently investigating this herb because of numerous instances of kidney failure, seizures, and death. You should note that the FDA does not usually get involved in the regulation of "herbs" or "food supplements" (officially how "natural penis pills" are classified) unless the harmful effects being reported are really extreme. The FDA calls catuaba, another common herb found in penis pills, a "poisonous herb."
