There was no pressure to go. If I couldn't go, I just told her. However, with every little family outing, I was that much more integrated into her family. It helped that they were nice people as well and liked me. I also didn't have to meet her entire family all at the one time, which would have given me cold feet.

3. She Gave Me A Choice

She knew about what I liked. She knew that my entire life up until that point revolved around being social, meeting a lot of women and not taking relationships seriously. She literally told me once that she could leave me if I preferred this life, since it was what I knew.

It was logical too. Her argument, I mean. I didn't know what was ahead of me. It might turn out for the worse. She showed me that it wasn't so bad. Ultimately, by not forcing me and giving me a choice, I chose to stay. By showing me that she wasn't desperate for my company, she endeared me to her.
