One of the most important words in Internet Marketing is not one usually pushed by the guru's and the super affiliates. In my honest opinion this word can make or break your internet marketing career. It is the difference between making little bits of money here and there and really creating a successful online business. This word is simple, Focus.

It wasn't that long ago that the ease of access to information got to a level that made it difficult to do just that, just to focus on one simple thing, or one project, website or just one type of monetizing your website. It was when I heard this from a successful marketer that I stopped to realize just how I had been drifting from one thing to the next, not putting enough effort into any of them. This does not mean that you should stick with something that clearly isn't working but you have to give it the time necessary to really have a good go at it.

Making money on the internet is not as easy as it is made out to be. If it was that easy then there would not be nearly as many sales made of the latest greatest strategy or e-book. If you browse some of the top internet marketing forums such as the warrior forum, you will see the evidence of this, pay special attention to the advise given from the senior members.

The idea is generally the same, focus. Focus on one thing and make it work. This also rings true when you are learning, because on the internet just learning a little bit about the basics by chasing that dream of instant cash using magic software or a hands free strategy means that you will never actually know what it takes to make it on the net.

Whatever it is that you decide to focus on, the chances are that as long as you put all you can into it, then you will succeed. I understand that there are a million different ways to make money online and any of them could see you working from home, but it is when you start one, then you get an email about this new product and then that product and suddenly you have 20 different e-books and don't know where to start, do not fall into this trap.

Definitely learn all you can, about what you are doing, if you can afford it, then yeah buy as many e-books as you can, providing that they deal with the current strategy that you are doing or are interested in doing. Just don't believe the hype when it tells you that buying some new e-book will be the end of your working life.
