I first tried to create a big authority website and that was it ... but sites like these take time to build, and the monetary benefits are further down the line. Like many people, I became disheartened and needed to see immediate results to keep me motivated. The mini site promoted an affiliate product and was quick to set up and test. When I found a product that converted well I then had my first income stream. This meant that I had some money coming in while I built an authority site and my confidence level soared.

Although I didn't reap the benefits of the authority site until some time later, I didn't worry about it or give up because I had the security of building quick mini websites to have some form of online income relatively quickly.
