Strange Bedfellows - Internet Marketing and the CIA

Although they may seem like worlds apart, there is a common thread that bonds internet marketing and the CIA and it is called the 5P Code. In the world of the CIA, lives literally depend upon the 5P Code. In the world of internet marketing not following the 5P Code could lead to your financial death.

In rural Virginia, just about an hours drive from the nation's capital, lies a training facility commonly referred to by "Company" members as "The Farm". It is the main training facility for the CIA and no matter if you go there for a short course in specialized training or a full training course in the subtleties of espionage, there is one thing that is pounded into your head from the very start. It is called the CIA's 5P Code.

Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance

Although you may have heard of many of the CIA's worst failures, they have far more spectacular successes but, due to the nature of their work, you will never hear of them.

In internet marketing, if you adopt the 5P Code, your chances of spectacular success goes up exponentially and if you fail adopt the 5P Code, you are almost certainly setting yourself up for financial disaster. Too many newcomers to internet marketing fall prey to the allure of fast money and instant gratification and soon become disheartened and suffer financial ruin.

Yes, you do need to take substantial action to be a success but, you must first take the time to prepare and arm yourself with the proper tools and techniques. Internet marketing is currently going through some very dramatic changes. At one time, it was just sufficient to build a list and your success was assured. Today, there is a whole new and very steep learning curve that must be broached. Just a couple of years all you had to do was build your list but, now we have a slew of new challenges that face the internet marketer. Web 2.0, blogging, forums, Youtube, social networking and the list grows daily.

Newcomers (I hate the term newbies) and old-timers alike must prepare for all of the new challenges that now face them and following the 5P Code is a good starting point.
