The reality of the situations is this: Success is going to come in direct proportion to the work you put in. If you play around and just write an article or two or put together a poorly conceived PPC campaign then, yes, you might just make a sale or two. Shoot, someone may even join your business. Just know that situations such as this are the exception and not the rule. Your business WILL suffer in the long run.

The trick is to be consistent in taking action. Do SOMETHING every single day. There are a number of different ways to create the traffic necessary to drive people on to your list. Pick a few and master them. Then, try something else. All of your efforts will, little by little, contribute to your overall success. It just takes time.

It's easy to get down on yourself or your business or the Internet marketing industry when you are not "seeing" anything happen at first. This is natural. We have all felt this at one point or another. But you CANNOT let this be a reason to give up. The industry will handsomely reward those who are able to withstand the initial learning curve and persevere to when the money starts to flow. Keep this in mind and get to work!
