When starting in the internet marketing field it can be VERY intimidating and sometimes a little overwhelming so I'm starting this 30 day guide so that everyone knows how and where to start in their internet marketing career.

Internet sales have skyrocketed and increase daily, over 200,000 people join the internet daily and there is no stopping the internet phenomena. As more and more people join the internet, more and more people have money to spend. It's time to start cashing in and beginning to profit from the internet, if I can do it then anyone can do it.

When you have finally decided to join the internet marketing field it is necessary to find a niche that you will serve. This comes down to personal preference, although some suggestions or ideas that I may have is to choose something that interests you. For example, do you enjoy knitting? Are you a car buff? What is it that you enjoy doing?? That is where I started when I first entered internet marketing, I chose a topic that I had interests in and began to build a blog around that idea.

Once you have found the niche that you are looking to target then it is time to find a product to serve for that market. I suggest two affiliate retail companies which are free and have hundreds of thousands of affiliates that they represent. Clickbank and Commission Junction are the two top affiliate companies on the internet each targeted towards different products. Once you have joined the Clickbank or Commission Junction website you have access to thousands of products and websites to advertise on your new niche blog. If you are confused about the technicalities of creating a blog or finding the process of domain registration  then you aren't alone. I found it extremely confusing and hard at first, now I'm a wordpress and webmaster pro!

Finally its time to start your blog, I personally suggest Wordpress as a blog venue. I would also suggest having your own blog on your own domain so that if you ever decide to sell your blog for money then you have the opportunity to sell it! If you choose a free venue then you don't own the blog and could have it shut down by the free blog host for violating even the smallest rule. When you own the domain and blog you have full control over it and won't have it shutdown by the company.

Now that you have your blog setup and running it is time to install some necessary plug-ins so that your blog is optimized correctly for Google and other search engines. This is called Search Engine Optimization and is crucial to ANY website on the internet. By optimizing your website correctly you can make sure that you rank high in the search results without paying for that spot! People spend thousands and thousands of dollars a day on Google advertisements, if you start correctly and optimize the pages efficiently then you can rank high without spending money. So why not take advantage of it?
