This is the final article in a 3-part article series I'm doing on this topic. The last two articles covered in detail the first 6 things you want to avoid when starting your internet business. There are 9 fatal mistakes that new internet marketers usually make when starting their own online business. This article will give the last 3 in detail. It will be a good idea to save these three articles and refer to them later if you need to, especially if you find yourself falling into a pattern that doesn't support what you've learned from this series.

This is the final article in a three-part article series I'm writing on this topic. The previous two articles covered in detail the first six things you want to avoid when starting your internet business.

There are nine fatal mistakes that new internet marketers usually make when starting their own online business.

This article will give the last 3 in detail. It will be a good idea to save these three articles and refer to them later if you need to, especially if you find yourself falling into a pattern that doesn't support what you've learned from this series.

Here are the final 3 mistakes to avoid:

1. Letting go of your job too early

This is an ENORMOUS one. It's easy to get caught up in the hype of marketing language that is used in the sales pages of various products and services offered on the internet. Everything isn't a scam, but with the possibility that you may be lured in by language to believe everything verbatim what's being said in the sales letter, it's a very dangerous option to leave your job too soon. Before you leave your job, you should already be in a position where financially, you're making online almost enough money on a consistent and regular basis to replace your current income. Until you're able to do that, your best bet is to keep working and putting in the extra time working on your business, treating it like a business.

2. Spamming

This one seems like it's just limited to email, but it applies across more platforms than that. Spamming is basically sending unsolicited information to people who didn't ask for it and better yet, to people you don't know. You want to have people's permission to communicate with them electronically. You want to make sure that they "opt-in" to receive whatever it is that you have to share before you do. Otherwise, you can be accused of spamming, and it makes it very hard to deliver your messages online about your business. This can take you out of the loop for using free methods of driving traffic and relationship marketing. You must be careful with this one. Remember, always get someone's permission.

3. Using PPC advertising without being trained

This one isn't fun and can cost loads of money if you don't know what you're doing. I haven't done any pay per click (PPC) advertising because I want to exhaust other methods first. So, I wouldn't be the one to get the training from. However, there are experts and others who are very successful at it and can teach you everything you need to know about it. But, if you're a new internet marketer with a small marketing budget, you may want to try something else first. Contact someone who can help you run a probability analysis with the various methods (paid and free) for how to drive traffic to your site. You can then see where PPC can fit into your budget or whether or not you have the time to go without it. Either way, make sure you get help first before you try this one on your own.
