Talk to others who have had professional success. Is this a skill? In a sense, yes. Every thought must be put into motion to become an action.

While asking a question may not be a skill, understanding that this is the first in a series of actions steps that will lead you, well, as far as you want to go in becoming an online marketing professional, is a learned technique. The step by step process that is required in taking any journey from beginning to end requires skills that we all have but we may need to be taught how to use. For example, before each and every step, there is a thought. Then a commitment to take action. Once action has been taken, there is a momentum. By repeating the process over and over, your momentum will continue to build. It sounds logical and basic, but the truth is, if this process is not fully comprehended from the very beginning of your venture, you will most likely fail.

Why? Because you will not understand the importance of repetition and consistency, and, for many, this is their downfall because they lose their momentum, never really get things moving, and consequently become discouraged, see dismal results, and give up. Momentum is an extremely powerful ingredient in the recipe for success as an online marketing professional, but it is one most often lacking. Can you have success without momentum? Well, I suppose, but it will be awfully slow and choppy. Now I don't know anyone who actually wants their success to be slow and choppy.

This brings me to a second, absolutely essential, I'll call it an attribute, needed to succeed in online business. It is called commitment. Again, I don't think it qualifies as a skill standing by itself. We all know the definition of the word commitment, but understanding its imperative role in success and renewing it on a daily, yes daily, basis, is a key factor in why over 97% of people who come into this online business brand new ultimately fail.

While momentum can, indeed, be choppy at times, (we all have bad days and unexpected setbacks), a firm, unwavering commitment will be what carries you through those frustrations right back into smooth waters. You must know that you can do it, and that you will never give up. Because, well, I know its cliche, but here goes....quitters never win. Sounds almost too easy, doesn't it. Just keep going and don't quit.

Is that all there is to it? No, of course not. But momentum and commitment are two things I guarantee you no entrepreneur ever became successful without. And it all starts with a question.
