Can You Make Money Without Doing Article Marketing?

I received an email the other day and the person was asking the question, "can you make money on the Internet without doing article marketing"? You read so much about article marketing that it does make you wonder how people survive without it.

I should preface this by saying that article marketing is my favorite form of marketing my business on the Internet. However, I know for a fact that there are literally millions of people who do not use it and do just fine with their business as well.

The real key to making money on the Internet is driving traffic to a website, capturing contact information for future follow-up, and then selling something. You can sell to the list you are building, you can refer your visitors to your blog or sales page, but regardless of how you do it you need to be selling all the time.

So you can see how it is important it is that you are constantly driving traffic. To do this you need to become an expert on one form of marketing online. It does not have to be article marketing if you do not like to write or want to hire someone to write for you.

There are Internet marketers who do extremely well with Google AdWords, press releases, traffic exchanges, social networking, blogging, forum marketing, and many other forms of marketing online.

I think the most important thing I can tell you is to become very good at doing one thing. This is not to say that you can't branch into other forms of marketing your business, because you probably will.

But initially you want to become an expert at doing one thing and one thing very well. This will allow you to make money with your business and you can certainly do that without doing article marketing.
