This "keyword-focused content" will optimize your site for the search engines who will in turn lead your customers to your site. This is known as search engine optimization or SEO .

Once you get customers "in the door" through your content and SEO, there are lots of ways to make money. That's called monetization of your site. You don't have to just sell products. You can be an affiliate for many other companies that have their own products. Or you can be an affiliate of an informational product. Whatever it is, you make a commission on every sale through your site.

One thing that an online business and a traditional business have in common is that it takes time for it to be successful. Just remember that if you opened a traditional business in your home town, you wouldn't expect to see profit for at least a year, right?
